Talmadge was best known for his paintings of Warriors and Veterans. This painting lists the names of 238 Native Americans who died in Vietnam. However, it is a tribute to all of the sacrifices made by our men and women in the armed services. The original proudly hangs in the Army Museum of the Southwest in Lawton, Oklahoma. Before it was donated it in 2001 it garnered 6 awards from art shows across the country.
